Philip read Law at Nottingham University, and has specialised in the resolution of disputes ever since he qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

Philip has been recognised as a leading litigator in the two main guides to the UK legal profession, Chambers guide the UK legal profession and the Legal 500. Philip also appears in Debrett’s “People of Today” in recognition of his contribution to the legal profession.

Philip joined the Bristol firm of Wansbroughs upon qualification. In 1996, he was made a partner in the merged national law firm of Wansbroughs Willey Hargrave. He built up a specialist litigation team with a national reputation and remained as a partner with the firm when it merged with the London practice of Beachcroft Stanley to form Beachcroft Wansbroughs in 1999. <back more>
